“My last birthday fell during exam week. But instead of shutting themselves away and saying that they didn’t have the time, my friends sacrificed a few hours of studying to celebrate with me. None of us were in the mood for anything big, but we ordered from The Cottage and watched New Girl and procrastinated and it made what I thought would be a really awful day so much better.”

“The nicest thing anyone in the Groton community has done for me was when Mr. LeRoy asked me to marry him. Even though he wasn’t working at Groton when he proposed, he asked me on a walk in the woods in New Hampshire.”

“I was in study hall, and I was so hungry because Flik dining failed me. Hesitantly, I knocked on my dorm head Randi Dumont’s door. She gave me a banana and a pack of M&M’s. Hands down nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me at Groton.”
